Do Animal's Spirits Stay Behind
Animals for a lot of people hold a special place in our way of life and hearts. This was the situation for our family dog, Crystal, who unfortunately handed down Monday, May 3rd 2010. She'd created a cancerous tumor in her mouth in September of 2009. Since September, my family and I knew that we could be confronted with needing to decide to put her to rest. A few days before, we felt that it was the very best decision to make. She'd been active up until Monday, but i was concerned the tumor may spread in to the back of her throat, reducing vital oxygen. Afterwards, I had been sitting with my mother, and she asked me "Do you believe part of her will stay?" meaning her spirit. I immediately answered without hesitation "Yes. I do."
I understand that each animal lover who believes within the existence of spirits will accept me. Animals develop their very own personality, and become area of the family. The typical scene in movies and commercials from the loyal dog waiting patiently in the door for you to get home, riding in the passenger seat of the car or truck using their head within the wind, and arriving your living space each morning to wake you up may be cliche, but they are all true.
Crystal developed her very own personality, and her unique habits. She always laid in our front yard on sunshine, and made it her passion to chase the kitty next door as he strayed into our yard. My dad could not get a drive anywhere without Crystal bounding up the stairs blocking the doorway until he grabbed her leash. Even though she might not physically be here anymore, I understand that her spirit will visit whenever the neighbors cat is in the backyard, when my dad applies to a drive, in order to lay in our yard on sunshine. Even speaking with our animals that have passed on can bring their spirit closer to us.
Probably the most common things I often hear others say about losing a pet, is "It requires a while to obtain accustomed to them not being there. You walk in thinking they'll be there, and you understand that it really happened. They aren't there anymore." I finally understood what others had meant with that Tuesday morning. I was expecting to see Crystal laying within our yard in the sun. I started to consider, "What if she is really there, and I am sensing her." Honestly, I believe it is exactly what it was. I had been sensing her. You would have it crazy to me that she would not check us out.
When others believe they expect their pets to be there, I'd be prepared to bet their animal is still there watching over them, making sure that their loved ones is ok. When they know their family is okay, In my opinion they move ahead. This is the point in time after i believe families adjust to and actually know the very fact their animal has transpired on, since their spirit isn't there as often anymore given that they know their loved ones is ok. However, they will always visit day to day to say hi and sit in their favorite spots.
